Open facebook using talkback and long press double tap and hold on the photo in your camera roll. To edit a photo you ve already uploaded go to the photo and select options on the bottom right. Keep in mind that this description will only be read if someone is using a screen reader to access facebook.
The alt text should offer a reasonable substitute rather than just reading off the name of the image.
